Maryville University PAINT Exhibition

My students in the beginning and advanced painters class at Maryville University held a 3 day exhibition of their work starting Tuesday.

It was a smashing success!

We prepared our classroom to look like a gallery --- and hung the work with nametags. It was wonderful.

Invited guests and food, music provided a festive atmosphere. So many compliments and well wishers.

I was so proud of them~!

Maryville painters rock!

Stop by tomorrow if you have time.

Carol...having been a public school art teacher for 45 years, I can totally relate to what you are saying - we are blessed to be able to do this. I retired in June and most certainly miss the young people.

Carol,
A watercolorist artist friend of mine pointed me out to you. He said you have to look up this artist. She's somone I would like to aspire to! So, I did, and I am totally impressed by your work. I think it's great that you give up time to teach too. I work in colored pencil and acrylics. Whenever you get a chance look up my website and let me know what you think. I value your opinion very much. Here's my e-mail and art site:

Barb, my last class was on friday. i miss my students already! They always kept my inspired and focused. Many of them were terrific painters...and brought such joy to me.

Diane, I looked at your website and loved your work! Thank you for sharing. You are so talented with acrylic and colored pencils. I loved the still life! I will spend some more time on it tonight... but suffice it to say...you are an amazing artist.

I am teaching more these days... as it helps me with expenses. I also like sharing some of the techniques.

All best to you. Keep in touch everyone!

Carol - the last day is always sad - I know! Don't you just love those enthusiastic creative young people? You are young, so there will be more of these teaching experiences for you and benefits for your lucky students!
