I am excited to share this work~   40 watercolors of impressions of France.  Many paintings are from Toulouse--- others are from surrounding areas.

All of it is fun- delightful--- and immediate watercolor

Back To France

Two small watercolors for my show in France next spring.  Lovely lovely lovely there.  So excited to go back!

I am almost done with the exhibition.  40 watercolors of small views of France.  Here are two that I finished today.

The Metro Station is almost done-- still needs some tweaking.

The Haystacks are definitely done.

Tell me what you think!

It's fun and daring to paint between France and Asia.  Two differing perspectives... two differing sensibilities...!

I am working on 40 watercolors that will be displayed during March 2014.  I hope you are able to join me for the exhibition, opening reception, and workshop.

Please email me for details.

All the work is original watercolors of French imagery.  Each painting depicts a small aspect of French life today.... rich, varied, intimate.

FRENCH PASTRY!

YUM!!  Cakes from France.    As I continue to progress with the series of works for France-- my thought has turned to the delectable food!    One of the most overwhelming tastes in France is the pastry.  The wonderful experience is also a VISUAL one ---

So, here is my work in progress---   of the beautiful pastry window.

A sight that always stops me in my tracks.

Enjoy!

French Watercolor

More paintings from France~

The studio holds a lot of fascination for France--- there are about 20 paintings completed for the show.  As I work the series-- I return to previous images and make changes and adjustments to deepen the message.  All works are in progress -- until they hit the frames!

I will finish when I reach 30.  The whole collection will be matted and put in mylar envelopes for travel and display in Toulouse FRANCE next year.

I will travel to Toulouse-- for the exhibition and also hold a workshop.

All imagery is from France.

Tell me what you think.... or if you have some clever titles....

More and more FRANCE-- Halfway done

I have been working on developing the exhibition for France-- and get it done and packaged for shipping this Spring.  The exhibition isn't until March of 2014-- but I am thinking AHEAD for a change!

Here are the most recent few.  They are all small, affordable, matted, and will fit in a suitcase.

Glorious France!

Marching on and painting France.  It would be faster and more enjoyable-- if the weather were cooperating!

There is an Arctic Blast here.....  which is hard to deal with.  But... it doesn't allow my washes to dry the way I like.

But, I did manage to make some progress today on FIELD.....

Hopefully  -- more will be accomplished this week.

Additionally-  I am making some progress on the Insect Book!

Paintings of France- for FRANCE

I am working on imagery from France-- gathered from my last two trips there.  I have a show and workshop in Toulouse, France in the Spring of 2014.

I want to include 20 -30 watercolors of a view of France from my artist's perspective.

It will be a small format for shipping-- no oversized watercolors.

I will share more about this as the months go by.  Hopefully- if you are in the area-- you will come see the exhibition~
