PREHISTORIC to SPACE AGE

Here are the places I went to in Titusville FLORIDA ---

Dixie Crossroads Seafood Restaurant-- yum and double yum for rock shrimp...

Also the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge-- especially the Bio Lab Road. this was an awesome drive-- where we saw the most incredible vistas and views of pristine, undeveloped, natural FLORIDA! Saw grass, brackish water, prehistoric animals -- beaches, dunes, pelicans, turns, cormorants.. and much more.

By the refuge is NASA's Cape Kennedy where i saw the VAB [Vertical Assembly Building] -[ see photo]. this is where they mate the external tank rockets and the solid rocket boosters with the space shuttle. kool.huh?

the shuttle that will go on FEB 19th.. from Launch Pad A. i am hoping to come back to see it. [never have--]

We also drove out to Canaveral National Seashore and had lunch at Eddy Creek with the pelicans... we saw bitterns, Roseate Spoonbills, and Florida Scrub Jays, armadillos, and gators!!! [see photo again... prehistoric to SPACE AGE! all in ONE photo!]

what a wonderful day with my new friend and art spirit-- Dawna.

special day in every aspect.
