self portrait i did... several years ago. it's charged and saturated and full of pigmented life! the eyes are penetrating... because i was trying to make the subject stare PAST the viewer.... intense~yikes!!

You succeeded with the stare. Really amazing how much is communicated with just pigment and water! I love the vividness of the color - that also makes a statement. :-)
