Oxygen revisited

I worked additionally on the OXYGEN watercolor to bring some resolution to the depth and distance in the reflection.  I got rid of a lot of saved white... and added color and value to areas throughout the background.

I am doing this to enhance to foreground.... allowing the figure to emerge front and center-- and the background to recede in a kaleidoscope of color and activity.

There is one more day of consideration of the piece before I call it finished!

Small Nude

It is from an exhibition I did on small nudes several years ago.

I am offering it for sale now -- but have kept it close to me for a few years-- because I like it so much.

This painting is going to auction this evening. Donated by a patron -- who purchased it a number of years ago... from Elliot Smith Gallery. It's from the
B & W Series of nudes and figures painted during the 1990's. I was asked to verify its authenticity and value.

i hope it generates income for the neighborhood organization!

Black and White Nude

This small nude is a study I did... in preparation for a larger painting I plan to do this winter. I wanted to work out the format and the composition. The cast shadows are a particular interest -- along with the model's hair. I have a bit more detail-work... but otherwise it's largely finished.
