Here are three more paintings from the Italy show.
They are small scale.. and a changing palette. I am thinking about keeping the palette similar blues and greys for a few of these.
I have begun using more matte colors-- that work well on the panel. The matte finish makes the paintings a bit more rich in depth and less
surface. They require less spraying of additional colors and glazing.
They are muted in tone...and less
brilliant -- but that pleases me.

Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteGetting even more interested in your Italian pieces that keep coming off that personal artistic conveyor belt for the forthcoming show. Why? because Anita and I plan a trip in May to sketch in Rome and Florence ++. I shall certainly remember your lustrous works of light when I'm there.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful work, Carol! Especially love the sunflowers and the gate.
