Continuing on with Italy
I have more reason than ever to forge ahead with my Italian exhibition. The deadline is mid - February 2011. I want to have the majority of paintings done well before then -- so I can spend some time marketing.
Here are a few that have been completed in the last few weeks.
They are mostly completed --with the exception of the last two-- which are in various stages of finish.
I am working best with starting one -- working it for a while -- then abandoning it for the next.
After a time-- I return to finish off the last details with distance and objectivity.
It's really working for me to be efficient in the studio this way!
I need another 20 pieces... gotta get painting!

i love coming to see your italian collection as it progresses carol .
Love the gentle light of the third piece posted here. Must have been wonderful having that time with the curator of your forthcoming show. It was great for us to see all the works together - even if they were on the floor!! The big thing these two photos showed was the harmony of your palette used throughout the series.
thanks jane.. means a lot to me that you are continuing to watch and notice. jump in any time w/ comments, criticisms, or observations!
joan, i like the one w/ the late-afternoon light too. will try to finish it today.
i wanted to show the pieces all jumbled together.. so everyone can get an idea of scale and texture.
it will be a fun show to present... all shapes/sizes of pieces with the 3-d cradle format. paid close attention to keep the paintings all color-related! most of my show are conceived this way. will be interesting to see how i tranlate this to EVERGLADES.... how are you?
Thank you Carol for showing us your painting for exhibition ! Bises.
thankyou olivia!! means a lot that you are following the show.... hugs
